• Welcome

Alpha Psi welcomes you to our newly developed, user friendly and interactive website. We hope that you will enjoy learning about our chapter and using the new tools this site provides the public and our members.

The brotherhood, commitment, and friendship which Alpha Gamma Rho is built upon is based off of its rich history. The Alpha Psi chapter is no exception and we take great pride in our history and brothers that have come before us. The Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Maynard Coe and the Wisconsin State University-River Falls established our colony on October 18, 1964 and November 18, 1964 respectively. Once you are initiated as a Brother of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, you are always an Active member in the organizatoin.

Our alumni are very important to the undergraduate chapter and provide us with a strong support network. The Alumni Chapter was chartered on September 19, 1967 by Gary Beastrom and Gary Steele. One day after that, on September 20, 1967, the AGR house and property were purchased. Maynard Coe, Ovid Bay and the Iota and Lambda Chapters chartered our active chapter on May 4, 1968.

The origional old house the Alumni Chapter purchased was built in 1911;  it was time to update the facilities by building a new house. The ground was broken on April, 15 1989 with a golden spade, and the Saturday closest to that date has been chosen for our annual formal known as Pink Rose.

At Alpha Psi we believe that our school can only be as strong as the students' involvement in it. At the University of Wisconsin-River Falls there are approximately 6,600 students - 6,150 are undergraduates and 450 are graduate students. With the vast majority of our members involved in at  least two other student organizations we are proud to be active in a cross section of the 160 student organizations available on campus.

Our resources here at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls extend from our professors to the facilities. There is an average of twenty students per faculty member with many smaller class sizes available. Another great resource available to the students are two lab farms, one of which recently constructed the new Dairy Learning Center on the farm. This farm is a 60-cow dairy with all new facilities. The University of Wisconsin River-Falls and Alpha Psi have much to offer and we invite you to learn more about us.
